Hardware Overview¶

An IRIS measurement system can be divided into several main components:

• A source loudspeaker, for exciting the room
• A receiver microphone, for recording the impulse response
• An audio Interface, to stream audio signals in and out of a computer.
• A computer running IRIS software

Most of the hardware required to make 3D impulse response measurements is available in a prepackaged IRIS Kit. Details of the individual components are provided if you wish to purchase your own equipment.
